I love communications, marketing and design. One thing I’m not is your usual marketing and communications agency. The big difference is that I have been where you are – actually trying to sell things or services to businesses and people and I’ve spent the last 15 years employed doing just that. I’ve worked for small businesses in a varied range of sectors, but always delivering on a large scale.
Before establishing Cake Marketing & Communications in 2014, I’ve worked in specialist IT companies, the automotive industry and most recently for a leading trade association for the Aerospace, Defence and Security industries.
I specialise in effective, tailored, on-brand communications and marketing. Having built on my skills over a number of years, approaching my 40th year prompted me to decide to utilise my skills in a slightly different way by setting up my own company. I know that effective communications can make a MASSIVE difference to the success of a business.
Sectors I’ve been involved with during my career include: automotive, IT, aerospace, defence, security and law enforcement, training, membership, insurance, logistics and Government. In the last 2 years I’ve worked on the branding and marketing of some high profile events including a European Commission Research event, Farnborough Airshow and the Home Office Security & Policing event. I'm also Defence Business Services National Security Vetting cleared, which means I am able to work in a position which may involve access to sensitive information.
Outside of work, I can often be found attempting to play the clarinet, baking and testing new recipes on my willing family and friends.
